To navigate the subnavigation bar to your left notice that it is divided into three drop down menus: First Four, Classic Noir, and Neo Noir. The 'First Four' category contains Borde and Chaumeton's first four film noirs. The 'Classic Noir' category contains the rest of the classical film noirs, as the 'Neo Noir' category contains the newer noirs - those created after film noir was finally identified and the elements were defined enough to recreate the film elements on purpose. Some film noirs, such as The Long Goodbye are parodies while others (Strange Days) use and combine film noir elements with other genres to make a statement.
